Customer Service Representative - Healthcare
A growing In-Home Medical Equipment company based out of the Pacific Northwest is looking to hire Qualification Specialists to their team in Milwaukie, Oregon. This position will be Fully Remote AFTER the training period, so candidates must live in the local area. Talent: The position is looking for Talent with experience in Customer Service and Phone Based Customer Support
Pay: $19/hr
Position Description:
- Perform Insurance Verification
- Gather medical documentation required to meet specific insurance company's guidelines
- Submit and obtain insurance prior authorizations via fax, online portal entry, mail, etc for equipment prior to delivery whenever possible
- Review documentation to assure pay coverage criteria is met when a prior authorization cannot be obtained from the insurance company
- Follow up with therapists and physicians when DWOs, DPDs, chart notes, and LMNs are not received per Norco protocol
- Stay abreast of industry updates and Medicare changes
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications and Strengths:
- Customer contact in person or over the phone is required
- Experience reading medical charts helpful
- High empathy for patients/customers is a must have
