The Senior Performance and Analytics Reporting Analyst supports our Purpose by creating, managing, and reporting on the network level forecast for revenue and average fares. This role also generates insights into business performance through data mining, analysis, and visualization. The Senior Performance and Analytics Reporting Analyst is a strategic thinker who looks forward to partnering internally and externally to drive business performance.

Job Summary
  • Support and improve the business decisions of Revenue Management (RM) and Commercial Planning Teams by implementing a wide scope of system-level analytics and reporting. Engage in cross-departmental collaboration and communicate the state of the business to senior and Executive Leaders across the Commercial organization.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze system-level Revenue Management (RM) KPIs and business trends to create the "state of the business" reporting for RM and Commercial Leaders
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to optimize revenue and support RM strategies in all work streams
  • Provide well-informed revenue forecast guidance for the Commercial organization; partner with FP&A to respectfully challenge each other's independent forecast methodologies for collective guidance to Executives
  • Develop, own and collaborate on a wide range of ad hoc analysis on behalf of RM by request of internal/external Leaders in a timely manner
  • Present and communicate analysis regularly in a variety of venues with an audience ranging from analysts to senior executives
  • Partner with RM Teams to share performance insights to improve RM strategies
  • Create tools/dashboards/reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth by request of Customers
  • Support data integrity for RM reporting and cross-functional Teams' SQL needs for performance reporting
  • Extract and link data across multiple databases in order to initiate a wide range of analytical needs
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication while effectively managing relationships internally and externally; ability to clearly summarize insights up to executive level Leaders
  • Ability to function under stress, meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, and work as a Team player
  • Ability to make decisions in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to view problems as an opportunity for improvement
  • Ability to recognize when data or reporting is wrong and propose solutions to remedy needs
  • Ability to understand implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and provide unsolicited checkpoints to Leader on progress
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and root cause analysis on large datasets and interdependent data are preferred, but not required. 
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience
  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
    • Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, organizing data, conditional formatting, etc.) and Power Point (building, formatting, presenting, etc.)
    • Working with large and complex datasets
    • Analytical problem solving and root-cause analysis
    • Developing reports using excel, Alteryx and/or Tableau
    • Communicating analytics with Executives, Leaders and peers clearly and regularly, both written and verbally via presentations and email
    • Writing and troubleshooting SQL (joins, database pulls from Teradata) or transferable similar database languages such as R, Python, VBA, etc.

  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
