$16.79 to $19.30

Job Summary
Provide assistance to nursing staff in administering safe, timely, and effective care to patients, tailoring it to their diagnosis and age-specific needs. Utilize verbal and written communication, as well as administrative expertise, to uphold unit competencies, hospital policies, and the Nurse Practice Act of South Dakota.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Accomplish all assigned clerical work.
- Considers the unit's policies when delivering patient care.
- Facilitates the process of constructing an enduring record of patient information.
- Understands an emergency condition and implements relevant reactions to manage the situation.
- The ability to prioritize doctor's instructions according to their urgency and implement the necessary measures promptly is shown through monitoring and input.
- Demonstrates proficiency in accurately documenting physician's orders after reviewing the patient's chart.
- Shows involvement in patient admission, discharge, and transfer activities through observation and input, as well as providing front desk services.
- Exercises prudence when reporting data and delivering medical attention to patients.
- In addition to my regular duties, I am expected to carry out any other tasks as instructed.
Additional Requirements
Preferred:
Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
Certification - Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
Experience - 1+ years of Clerical Experience; 1+ years of Medical Terminology Experience.
Physical Requirements:
The role involves moderate work and regular application of force between 10-50 pounds, with a potential for exposure to bodily substances, necessitating careful adherence to safety guidelines and utilizing protective equipment.
