    Job Summary:

    This is a long-term child care leave position, starting approximently on April 29, 2024 and going through June 10, 2024.



    Skokie School District 69 is seeking a dynamic and flexible Special Education Teacher to become part of an inclusive neighborhood school-based service delivery continuum for all students. This teaching position requires a strong foundation in accommodation, modification, delivering specialized instruction, and supporting core curriculum for both academic and social/emotional success. The ability to use data based decision making to identify needs, create goals, evaluate progress, and align service delivery is expected. The special education teacher is expected to provide all service and consult minutes as well as develop, coordinate, and facilitate IEP meetings. Experience developing, implementing, and revising Behavior Intervention Plans is preferred. Candidates should have experience working with diverse students. Strong communication skills and experience building a home-school connection is valued.



    Qualifications:
    • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 or other appropriate endorsements.

    • English as a Second Language endorsement, preferred or must be willing to complete.



    Salary:

    Long Term Substitute Daily Rate of $316 per day.
