THE ROLE



Our client is searching for an Industrial Automation Controls Engineer to join their growing team! This is a new role due to the growth in our client s book of business of Fortune 500 clients. This person will partner with both the Sales team and Technical Services team to provide implementation, training, and consulting services associated with the company s solutions.



Though our client is headquartered in Chicago, IL, this role is remote, with up to 25% required travel.



WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Partner with the sales team to demo the software and answer client questions in regard to the technical aspects


  • Extract a finite number of specific data points from the controller to analyze the control code and determine how to model the equipment


  • This person will also work cross-functionally to provide analytical insight and advise clients on the optimal use of the company s solutions and further identify business development opportunities


  • Work with internal teams to ensure clients are getting the most out of the software and relationship


WHAT YOU WILL NEED



  • B.S. in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience/knowledge


  • At least 1+ years of PLC programming experience


  • A strong understanding of the CPG/Food & Beverage Manufacturing Industries


  • Experience or Interest in IIoT


  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year


  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
