Senior Manager, Global Sales & Operations Planning
We are looking for a senior leader to drive the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for our vehicle business. This role will be responsible for creating and aligning proposals for strategic supply-demand decisions, coordinating the global build plan, and managing our global supply-demand reporting and sales forecast.
- Manage Tesla's S&OP process by identifying key strategic decision points as they emerge, gathering data and recommendations from operating teams, and putting together summaries and recommendations for our weekly Executive S&OP meeting
- Work with partner teams in sales, production, supply chain, finance, logistics, and programs to assess the impact of different scenarios and create optimized proposals
- Oversee the high level (weekly model trim region) global build plan based on capacity inputs from production, supply-demand outlook, and constraints from operating teams
- Coordinate with powertrain planning teams to ensure optimized drive unit pack build plans and to make sure the vehicle plan operates within their constraints
- Oversee the global sales forecasting process and coordinate collection, alignment, and comparison of market forecasts
- Manage global supply-demand dashboards and data sets that are used to determine the build plan, delivery outlook, and pricing changes
- Coordinate weekly syncs with regional and market teams to solicit plan feedback, share plan updates, and align on proposals for key decisions
- Directly oversee a team of local planners and coordinate with a global team of S&OP planners within the broader planning team
- 8 years in consulting, strategy, planning, finance, or a cross-functional supply chain role
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven ability to effectively drive a strategic planning process
- 3 years of management experience
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Embrace of change and rapid pace of work
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills
- Manufacturing operations experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SQL
