Licensed Massage Therapist
Overview:
We are seeking two skilled and compassionate Massage Therapists to join our team. Preference for additional skills such as Reiki, polarity therapy, yoga training, etc. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage treatments to clients, helping them relax, relieve pain, and improve their overall well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others through the power of touch. Pay ranges from $40 -$65 per hour plus incredible tips, increasing your potential pay to $100+ an hour. This is a contract position, so your schedule is flexible but weekends are a must (with unlimited PTO). Responsibilities:
- Perform physical assessments of clients' medical history to determine appropriate massage techniques
- Administer various massage techniques, such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage, based on clients' needs and preferences
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform treatment plans
- Provide exceptional patient service by actively listening to clients' concerns and addressing their specific needs during each session
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes and progress reports
- Collaborate with other healing arts professionals, such as chiropractors or physical therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises to enhance the benefits of massage therapy
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines in the practice of massage therapy
- Complete basic "side work" tasks (ie. tidying massage room, etc).
Skills:
- Proficiency in various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify areas of tension or pain
- Ability to provide effective pain management through therapeutic touch
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain treatment plans and self-care techniques to clients
- Knowledge of occupational health practices related to massage therapy
