Position Purpose:

When it comes to customer service, cashiers are crucial in ensuring that transactions are managed swiftly, courteously, accurately, and securely. They are responsible for processing Checkouts and/or Returns and maintaining the Self-Checkout zone. Furthermore, they seek out product/project information to provide customers with valuable insights and spot potential sales opportunities while reducing shrinkage through their adherence to policies and procedures.

Head Cashiers are responsible for the deployment of Cashiers and providing support through expediting price checks, approving different types of Point of Sale transactions, and markdowns for registers such as Self-Checkout, Pro Desk, Returns, Special Services, Tool Rental. They function as the initial point of customer escalation and oversee the supervision, mentoring, and training of other Front End Associates by participating in training new Cashiers and making use of all the available resources to coach and develop them.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year or more of experience working as a cashier.
