E-commerce Architect

Seek a Solution Architect (Magento), whose role is to develop and implement our ecommerce system architecture to meet business needs of our online site/store. The Solution Architect's responsibilities include gathering requirements and site functional/design specifications, assessing the current software systems in place to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development of various ecommerce projects. You will also update the company on any developments in systems architecture projects.

Description:

Building, integrating, deploying ecommerce systems to meet the company's needs

Assessing current ecommerce architecture and working with technical staff on solutions to improve it

Resolving technical problems as they arise

Providing supervision and guidance to our external development team

Researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed

Informing stakeholders of any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented

Assessing the business impact of technical choices (including UX and UI interfaces)

Updating stakeholders on project development processes and other key areas of the job

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field and 3 years of experience with Magento (Adobe Commerce)
• At least 3 years of experience with HTML, PHP, CSS, Java
• Must be Magento 2 Certified (Business Expert Certification a plus)
• Proficient using Atlassian JIRA for ticket, sprint, & release management
• Proficient with CRM software
• Strong ability with Microsoft Applications
• Ability to follow, enforce, and help define development standards
• Proven experience in ecommerce engineering and software architecture design
• Previous project management experience is advantageous
• PIM and/or catalog management is a plus
• Working with eProcurement/punch-out solutions software or marketplaces a plus
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment
