- Location:* Santa Clarita, CA
- Shift:*
- 1st Shift Monday
- Friday*
- Pay:* *$24 -$32 hr.*
- Description:*
- Minimum 2 years of experience running a NC Grinder (ID/OD)
- Mechanically inclined individual with good problem-solving ability.
- Able to produce accurate work (tolerances reach .0005 -.001 of an inch).
- Mathematical machining skills required.
- Proficient working with Haas lathes and Mills.
- Familiarization with Aerospace Materials.
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to create subroutines in MDI.
- Must have knowledge in editing programs to meet certain part requirements.
- Good understanding of feeds and speeds pertaining to various materials.
- Proficient in fixture and part setup.
- Skilled using various gaging equipment (od id micrometers, depth gages, height gages, bore gages etc.)
- Solid experience in reading drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
- Possess knowledge of working properties of Aerospace metals and skill with machine tools to plan, Set-Up & carry out the operations needed to make machined products that meet their precise specifications.
- Use the proper measuring tools in order to check the accuracy of their work against blueprints.
- Have the ability to set-up & operate Manual Lathes, Mills, other machine shop equipment.
- Able to read blueprints.
