Graduate Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor patients' vital signs and document any changes or abnormalities
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Educate patients and their families on self-care and preventive measures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control procedures
• Attend trainings and professional development sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in nursing practice

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules
• Compassion and empathy towards patients and their families
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems
