We provide world-class care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center owned and operated by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Laguna Honda is one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in the United States, and represents one of the most extensive commitments by any city or county to therapeutic care for seniors and adults with disabilities.
You will work alongside a cohesive team of professionals immersed within the healing environment of Laguna Honda Hospital. Providing recovery and rehabilitation for residents and patients to achieve their highest level of independence.
**What you need to qualify:**
- Current valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California\*
- Current valid Board Certification in the appropriate medical specialty area. \*\*
\*Applicants possessing a valid license to practice medicine issued from another state within the United States of America may apply, but if selected, the candidate will NOT be appointed/hired until they obtain a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
\*\*Applicants enrolled in a residency program may apply, but if selected, the candidate will NOT be appointed/hired until they demonstrate successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in the appropriate medical specialty area for the assigned facility, obtain a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California, and obtain valid Board Certification in the appropriate medical specialty area for the assigned facility or division.
For some positions, possession of valid Drug Enforcement Agency registration with the United States Department of Justice is a special condition that is required in addition to the standard minimum qualifications.
