Position Title: Hotel Breakfast Attendant


Job Summary:
The hotel breakfast attendant is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast to hotel guests in a timely and efficient manner. They maintain cleanliness and organization in the breakfast area, restock food and beverage items, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities:



  • Set up and arrange breakfast buffet according to established standards, including food presentation and beverage stations.

  • Prepare and replenish food items such as hot and cold cereals, pastries, fruits, beverages, and condiments.

  • Ensure that all food items are fresh, properly labeled, and within expiration dates.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the breakfast area, including tables, chairs, countertops, and serving utensils.

  • Monitor food levels throughout the breakfast service and replenish as needed to ensure a consistent supply for guests.

  • Greet guests warmly, assist with seating if necessary, and provide information about breakfast offerings.

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and special dietary needs courteously and efficiently.

  • Monitor and adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.

  • Operate kitchen equipment such as coffee makers, toasters, and microwaves safely and effectively.

  • Assist with cleaning and organizing the breakfast area at the end of the service period, including clearing tables, washing dishes, and disposing of waste.

  • Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.

  • Uphold the hotel's brand reputation by delivering exceptional customer service and fostering positive guest interactions.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry, is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects if needed.
