Ballet Instructor

```Overview```
Spotlight Dance Company is a NEW dance studio opening June 2024. Our studio is focused on training serious competitive dancers of all ages to not only achieve their goals, but exceed them and set new heights for themselves. We also offer fun, positive, upbeat and educational recreaptional classes, for students that are looking for less commitment but also have a desire to learn and improve their skills even if it is just for fun. Spotlight is seeking well trained and passionate dance instructors for both our competitive and recreational dancers. We are looking for instructors who are well versed and can teach in a variety of styles such as, ballet, acro, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop.

```Duties```
- Plan and prepare high quality Ballet lessons and choreography for lessons and technique instruction
- Deliver engaging and interactive and POSITIVE FUN instruction to students of various ages and abilities
- Provide individualized attention and support to students who may require additional assistance, and communicate to the staff so we can properly support the student
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration
- Prepare choreography for recitals, competitions, additional performances that uphold the studios brand and standards

- Provide constructive but positive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and over all dance performance quality
- Work with other staff to help communicate additional needs or lessons students may required to reach their goals
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress

```Experience```
- Previous experience in Ballet instruction for recreational and competitive dancers
- Knowledge of proper dance terminolgy, technique and current industry trends
- Ability to create, teach and correct choreography for recreational and competitive students
- Must have a PASSION to help each competitive student GROW and progress to their highest potential for their dance journey

-Strong organizational skill and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff

Must have a PASSION for dance and desire to work in a POSITIVE and FUN environment

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
