We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support to patients, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will be essential. Your main goal will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients by assisting with daily tasks and providing emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with personal care activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assisting with mobility, such as using walkers or wheelchairs, and transferring patients to and from beds or chairs.
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families, actively listening to their concerns and providing reassurance.
- Documenting patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Assisting healthcare professionals during medical procedures and examinations.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Patient Care Assistant training program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
