Job Overview
This position is two-fold and requires a unique skill set. This person would be responsible for managing delivery of mid to large and complex Enterprise projects with cross functional project teams that may be comprised of several departments, have high visibility, aggressive schedules, and require negotiation skills to balance the needs of project stakeholders specifically as related to network infrastructure (including the 911-impacting components of the network). This position also requires a skilled person capable of creating, building, and generating analytics on reporting for internal customers, senior leaders and external customers including the FCC, NRSC, OEC, CSC, PSAPs and other wireless industry leaders. Gather and document report requirements. Write report specifications to meet business needs. Use reporting tools, applications, and/or queries to create and configure new reports and dashboards. Perform modifications and enhancements on existing reports based on evolving business requirements. Validate and test reports to ensure accuracy and quality. May participate in the design and development of business intelligence reporting tools. May provide support and training to end-users for reporting tools and reports. This person would also be responsible for analyzing existing processes and recommending additional or supporting tools to meet the reporting requirements for regulatory compliance.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Fully investigate and document facts underlying reportable outages to support accurate and timely reporting to the FCC. 

  • Provide advanced decision analysis for focused, fact-based, reporting & statistics to engineering & operations leadership teams related to FCC reportable outages and detection tools. 

  • Provide recommendations on process/policy changes and tools to improve overall reporting to FCC and PSAPs.  Analysis must be focused, concise & able to influence and enhance leadership decision-making related to recommended changes. 

  • Participate in formal focus groups/interviews/conference calls related to recent FCC reportable outages or changes in FCC rulemaking to determine if internal processes/policies were potentially a factor in the outage or resulting process. 

  • This position will participate and execute lessons learned from these working sessions with cross functional teams and resources enterprise wide. 

  • Gather simple to moderately complex data inputs from multiple sources. Run routine data queries from reporting tools, ensuring integrity of data and reporting.

  • Partner with customers & stakeholders on the development and production of a wide range of standard reports. Ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements.

  • Assist with analysis, design, & testing of various enhancements & changes to reports or information portals.

  • Support Sr level analysts with reporting, analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.


Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Information Management, or related field (Required)


Work Experience:


Less than 2 years’ Experience with data mining and/or reporting.
