Part Time Summer School Physical Therapist

Contract School Physical Therapist 2024-2025 School Year



ProCare Therapy is a school based contract and staffing and recruiting agency. We are working with a school district in Norristown, PA that is looking to hire a physical therapist for their summer school program with the opportunity to renew for the 2024-2025 school year.



The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and superior healthcare benefits through United Healthcare



Caseload:

• Part time: 5-6 hours per week
  
• Monday - Thursday
  
• Hours: 8:00 - 1:30
  
• Elementary & Middle school caseload
  
• July 2024 - August 2024
  

Responsibilities:

• Screens and/or evaluates students who have been referred to occupational therapy in the areas of fine motor performance, coordination, postural stability, perceptual motor performance, sensory processing and self-regulation and activities of daily living/functional skills (such as written productions and classroom tool use) with emphasis on present level of performance as related to academic functioning.
  
• Consults and collaborates with teachers and other specialists regarding appropriate motor activities, self-help skills, sensory needs, adaptations, and special equipment or assistive devices as necessary.
  
• Maintains accurate records of students evaluated and served in occupational therapy program; including assessment results, IEP progress and other documentation or reports as needed.
  
• Participates in designated team meetings, individual education plan conferences and periodic reviews involving assessment, programming and reevaluation decisions.
  

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  
• Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license
  
• Must have or willing to obtain Pennsylvania fingerprints & clearances
  
• Previous school based experience preferred
  
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
