We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about the construction industry, particularly in the commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for a variety of construction projects, including commercial ground-up and commercial projects, healthcare construction, and education construction. This position will play a pivotal role in the preconstruction phase, providing critical input that will shape the direction and success of our projects.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about the construction industry, particularly in the commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for a variety of construction projects, including commercial ground-up and commercial projects, healthcare construction, and education construction. This position will play a pivotal role in the preconstruction phase, providing critical input that will shape the direction and success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze architectural blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
- Prepare detailed, multi-disciplinary estimates for commercial ground-up, commercial projects, healthcare construction, and education construction.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather details and compile estimates.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues or obstacles and develop mitigation strategies.
- Participate in bid preparation and submission process, ensuring all estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted on time.
- Track and record all estimation documentation, maintaining a comprehensive database of materials and labor costs.
- Provide consultation on planning, scheduling, and cost control methods during the preconstruction phase.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements to stay current on construction cost estimating best practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on commercial ground-up, commercial projects, healthcare construction, and education construction.
- Proven experience in bidding and preconstruction is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present estimates and proposals in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential issues and develop effective solutions.
- A proactive attitude, with the desire to continually improve and refine estimating processes.
