Software Development Engineer

The Role With the increase in Vehicle units in operation and as Tesla products expands, the ability for floor to know their performance live compared to the targets set by leadership and constraints in their processes empowers them with to make adjustments to their work quickly, to meet those targets and resolve the constraints. The Data Analytics and Engineering team identified two needs for the company, one is Stream, an in-house developed, live visual management platform and second platform, called Maxim, is the backbone of the Stream platform, and also serves as a self-service API endpoint creation tool for interacting and communicating across all platforms in Tesla. The platform itself, developed by one engineer as a prototype, who is no longer with the company. The reach of these tools have expanded in to Service Centers, Delivery locations, body shops and Virtual Service operations globally tracking throughput, productivity and preparation/progress metrics. This software engineer will focus on developing these platforms at scale, to work directly in TV browsers eliminating the need for additional NUC device which will directly save about 100K$ recurring cost annually and will work closely with operations to create/enhance live tracking reports for service, delivery and body shops.
