What you'll do on a typical day:

• Successfully Drive a Tractor-Trailer Combination with Doubles and Triples, Ensuring Safety
• With a deep understanding of a customer's preferences and needs, sales associates can effectively suggest additional products or services, thereby enhancing the customer's experience and driving sales
• Loading and unloading of goods is not only a part of the supply chain but also, it is a critical component of the cargo transportation system

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Crossing the threshold of 21 years of age or more
• The requirement of a valid Class A commercial driver's license
• Your driving record is a reflection of your driving behavior and serves as evidence of your responsible driving practices
• The possession or willingness to acquire hazardous materials, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of the commencement of work is necessary
• To avoid any issues when facing a DOT drug test, it's crucial that you've had no prior positive tests or refusal to take the test in the past three years
• In order to comply with regulations, individuals must have either a current DOT Medical Certification Card or can take a DOT physical that will be paid for by the employer
• Being able to work a flexible schedule is essential for this position, as it necessitates covering extended shifts for up to 14 hours a day, spanning a combination of day, night, and weekend hours

• Forklift experience

This job requires the ability to:

• Possess the ability to lift a variety of objects that come in different shapes, sizes, and weights, some of which can weigh up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and occasionally above 75 pounds while also managing a converter dolly that requires an average pull force of around 128 pounds.
• Take your time while climbing and do not rush. Always maintain three points of contact with the tractor or trailer while moving
• Conduct tasks that require sitting for a long time in a truck tractor or on a forklift; safely handle the operation of heavy machinery and a forklift
• The job requires standing and walking on diverse surfaces, including those that may be slippery or uneven, regardless of the weather conditions
• Carry out a variety of motions that entail lifting your arms, bowing, scaling, pushing, pulling, contorting, bending, exerting a lot of pressure, and kneeling down
• Drive a tractor-trailer combination for a maximum of 11 hours, ensuring the safe transportation of hazardous or non-hazardous materials through varying weather conditions and adhering to rigorous safety protocols
