Staff Accountant

TOMS King is seeking to add a highly-qualified Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. Staff Accountant Position Responsibilities:

• Review and track daily store cash and revenue discrepancies.

• 
  Research and submit invoices to third party AP processing, paper & electronic submission, requires understanding of general ledger, chart of accounts & coding scheme.

• 
  Support field operations in reviewing financial report questions, researching and explaining variances from budget, recording corrective Journal entries.

• 
  Prepare month end journal entries as assigned.

• 
  Generates and distributes monthly financial & metrics reporting as assigned.

• 
  Must be positive, energetic and work well in a collaborative, open office environment.

• 
  Account reconciliation and Trial Balance support as assigned.

• 
  Assists with annual budget process, helps maintain adaptive budget software & reports.

• 
  Position will report to the Controller.

  
  
  Staff Accountant Requirements:

• 
  5-7 years of Accounting work experience.

• 
  Strong data management/computer, particularly Excel skills. (Integrated Database/Cloud based systems environment).

• 
  Prior cash reconciliation, accounts payable and detailed schedule preparation/tracking.

• 
  Strong oral and written communication skills and e-mail management skills.

• 
  Experience in multi-unit restaurant/hospitality/retail preferred.

• 
  Good character and strong work and personal ethics.

This position is located at our Business Support Center in the Northwest Suburbs, which is easily accessible by the Palatine train station.
