• The proposed pay scale for this opportunity ranges from $30.03 to $37.15 per hour, with payment made through annual increments. Actual compensation is subjective and could be impacted by qualifications and prior accomplishments

• The act of transferring goods to or from a cargo vessel or truck is referred to as freight loading and unloading

Adequate knowledge of the industry you are working in and knowing the XPO structure is important to achieve success at XPO. Staying up to date with relevant industry developments, changing client requirements, and technological advancements is also crucial:

The fundamental requirements that need to be met include:

• Reaching the age of 21, the legal threshold for purchasing and consuming alcohol
• An approved Class A commercial driver's license
• A clean driving record can also be beneficial in securing employment in certain professions that require frequent driving
• To be considered, applicants should hold or must have the potential to get certified in hazardous materials, tank vehicle, and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of their recruitment
• Having a prior history of a positive DOT drug test or refusal can have detrimental consequences, potentially leading to the loss of a commercial driver's license and/or job termination
• The company expects drivers of commercial vehicles to possess a DOT Medical Certification Card or to pass the cost-inclusive DOT physical exam as a pre-requisite to the job
• This job demands the candidate to be available for a flexible schedule, which includes working up to 12-14 hour shifts, including day or night shifts and weekends

• As part of the job requirement, candidates must possess the ability to lift and shift items with varying proportions and mass. On a day-to-day basis, the items may range in weight from approximately 50 lbs. to more than 75 lbs., and the individual should also have the strength to relocate the converter dolly, which often demands a pulling force of 128 lbs.
• Never attempt to jump down from a truck cab/trailer as it can result in serious injury or accidents
• Carry out safe and responsible operation of heavy machinery and forklift while sitting for long hours in a truck tractor or on a forklift
• Being able to walk and stand for lengthy timeframes on numerous surfaces, which may be jagged or slick, is essential. This may also include outdoor work in adverse weather
• Turning or rotating your body around its axis or an object is called Twisting. This motion can be helpful when changing direction on a walking path
• Utilize defensive driving techniques to safely transport hazardous/non-hazardous materials in a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours, regardless of the weather
