Responsibilities:

About the Overnight Maintenance Cleaner Role:

You are the person responsible for ensuring every nook and cranny of the facility is cleaned and sanitized to the maximum level for the best member experience. As a Planet Fitness brand representative, cleanliness is of great importance, and it also functions as one of the safety measures for the protection of our clients and team.

These responsibilities include:

• In line with Planet Fitness' standards, it is critical to maintain the cleanliness of all shared spaces rigorously, ranging from the restroom to the fitness equipment, to ensure members' safety.
• Employ the floor scrubber machine and run the vacuum on the floor surfaces according to the predetermined schedule.
• Dispose of trash correctly and keep the sanitation facilities clean and functional.
• Keep tabs on inventory levels, particularly paper supplies, and make sure they are replenished when required. Work with the Club Manager to communicate inventory requirements.
• Ensure that dust and dirt accumulation does not occur on high objects such as ceiling fans, TVs, and rafters through consistent cleaning
• Immediately notify the Club Manager if there are amenities or equipment that are not functioning correctly or are missing, such as toilets, showers, faucets, hair dryers, and gym equipment.
• Utilize the washer and dryer to carry out your laundry tasks.
• One of the vital tasks of cleaning staff is to maintain their equipment, which includes actions like periodically emptying vacuum bags and regularly cleaning mop buckets

Regardless of the specific duties, the Overnight Maintenance Cleaner must perform their work efficiently and thoroughly to ensure that the facilities are clean and safe for use:

• Provide assistance and a warm welcome to members and visitors as they check in, ensuring they receive satisfactory answers to their questions and any concerns they may have.
• Respond to phone calls with a welcoming demeanor and aid callers in resolving their doubts.
• Drive retail sales targets through accurate transactional execution.
• Ensuring member concerns are resolved and escalated to a manager when the situation demands is an essential aspect of this role.
• Regularly performing a detailed inspection of the club is essential. This will allow you to immediately deal with any safety or policy violations and address any sanitation concerns.

Qualifications:

• Skill to function efficiently during the dark hours
• Expertise in maintaining clean and hygienic environments is prioritized
• Anybody younger than 18 won't be considered
• Do you dream of becoming certified in CPR and AED? Attend Planet Fitness' training programs
• Basic computer proficiency

Maintenance Cleaner should wear appropriate clothing, such as supportive shoes and comfortable clothing, to safeguard their physical well-being:

• Constant ambulation and exploration of different areas of the club to complete duties.
• Persistent verbal interaction, either in-person or via phone call, to share updates and maintain awareness of work progress throughout the assigned timeframe.
• This position mandates the ability to handle weights of up to 75 pounds.
• During work hours, there is a possibility of coming into contact with dangerous chemicals.
• Adequate cleaning and disinfection of equipment and facilities should be prioritized.
• Flexibility in physical movements, such as bending and twisting, can enable individuals to complete tasks that require reaching certain positions.
