Phlebotomist Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomist Supervisor to join our team. As the Phlebotomist Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our phlebotomy department and leading a team of phlebotomists. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our phlebotomy services are efficiently and effectively delivered to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of phlebotomists to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care
• Train new phlebotomists on proper collection techniques, safety protocols, and customer service
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of phlebotomists, providing feedback and coaching as necessary
• Create and maintain department schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and special requests
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed, demonstrating proper technique and adherence to protocols
• Oversee the maintenance and inventory of phlebotomy supplies, ensuring an adequate supply is available at all times
• Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Stay current on industry best practices, regulations, and advancements in phlebotomy techniques
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development of standard operating procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of [5] years of experience as a phlebotomist, with [2] years of supervisory experience

• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including phlebotomy chairs and equipment as needed
