Remote Business Intelligence Architect (Power BI)- RBD
Compensation Range: $88,000 - 110,000
The compensation range reflects the Company s reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.
Position Summary:
The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting front-end / user facing solutions utilized in reporting, analytics, or embedded within other applications. The position will also perform data analysis, construct technical designs, communicate with team members and business stakeholders, and support existing front-end / user facing solutions. This position will also coordinate and review the work activities of offshore development and support resources.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Responsible for the design, development, and support of front-end / user facing solutions.
Perform data analysis and create data models for peer review.
Create and enhance data sets that promote ease of use and consistency in naming conventions and metric definition.
Provide guidance and direction to offshore support/development resources.
Communicate with other BI team members, offshore team members, and cross-IT staff on support and project activities.
Assist with task identification and effort estimates for reporting development.
Assist with risk and issue identification.
Promote adoption of BI solutions/capabilities with the business user community and other team members.
Enable and encourage citizen developer capabilities across the business community.
Enrich experience of our business partners interacting with our data through use of drill downs, filters, and visualizations.
Collaborate with Architecture and Security teams to ensure solutions comply with security and authentication standards of the organization.
Ensure and plan capacity for existing and new solutions.
Maintain accurate and complete technical architecture documentation.
Prepare and execute unit tests.
Provide off-hour/weekend support (on a rotating basis).
Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 4+ years of related experience OR High School Diploma and 7+ years of related experience.
2+ years of Power BI experience, including experience with Data Set creation and utilizing DAX.
Excellent SQL skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience with Snowflake and SQL Server.
Microsoft Azure experience.
Experience architecting and developing solutions on Cognos.
Experience with JavaScript.
Knowledge of data warehousing and data ingestion and modeling concepts.
Experience w/ other BI, Analytics, or Data Science tools.
Experience working on agile / SCRUM teams including offshore resources.
