Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in the culinary operations of our restaurant. You will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a culinary role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Familiarity with different cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Skills:
- Culinary skills
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
