Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! - Regional Mitigation and Recovery Coordinator (Program Analyst 3) Portland Metro Region
As the Regional Mitigation and Recovery Coordinator, you will work under the supervision of the Regional Mitigation and Recovery Manager to assist local, state, and tribal jurisdictions with the development and implementation of hazard mitigation and recovery operations throughout Oregon. In this role, you will represent the Oregon Emergency Management (OEM) within their assigned region and across Oregon as needed and coordinates critical mitigation and recovery support for local and tribal jurisdictions. This essential work includes:
  • Support and participate in local meetings and outreach events related to emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and hazard mitigation.
  • Hazard mitigation program review and assist tribal and local jurisdictions with the development and implementation of hazard mitigation and recovery programs.
  • During post disaster recovery operations, act as a liaison between tribal and local jurisdictions and state and federal recovery organizations and assist tribal and local jurisdictions with post disaster initial damage assessment data collection.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to Emergency Management that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years experience coordinating or administering a program; OR,
  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
Underfill Opportunity:
The goal of this recruitment is to fill this position as a Program Analyst 3. However, if the successful applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications for the Program Analyst 3 classification but does meet the minimum qualifications for Program Analyst 2 classification, the applicant will be appointed to the classification of Program Analyst 2 (SR 27 $4,933.00 - $7,641.00). The duration and conditions surrounding the assignment and supervision of work are determined at the time of appointment.
