How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Specialist, Finance will be responsible for Delta's consolidated cash forecast modeling within the Treasury function. This role will provide daily analysis of cash flows and support for the consolidated Delta enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as subject matter expert and resource for all areas of Delta finance for cash flow-related inquiries.
  • Manage relationships and cash forecasting deliverables from various groups outside of Treasury (Fuel, TechOps, Revenue Management, Corporate Real Estate, Loyalty)
  • Own and maintain specific model areas such as Fleet, Payroll and Financing (debt and lease payments).
  • Pulls, summarizes, and provides variance explanations for daily cash flow data for consolidated Delta enterprise.
  • Provides inputs, analysis and recommendations for materials reviewed with executive leadership on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains daily cash flow model including interface with various financial systems (Quantum, SAP, bank portals, Nakisa, SmartView).
  • Leverage available and emerging technologies to improve and automate aspects of cash forecasting process (Quantum, SAP, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Performs monthly close and compliance functions required for cash (compliance certificates, Financial Reporting reconciliations).

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency
  • Must possess 3+ years' experience with financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flows) and GAAP.
  • Experience with cash forecasting and familiarity with Delta's strategy and goals is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable manipulating and analyzing high volume of data and working with technologies to improve processes.
  • Should be a creative/strategic thinker, solution-oriented, multi-task capable and have demonstrated the ability to lead and work well with others in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment.
  • Should possess keen analytical skills; sound organizational and planning skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Must possess working knowledge of and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in his or her present position.
  • Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
  • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
  • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline.
  • Corporate finance background preferred.
